Could be normal, servo mode is constantly changing focus if you are moving the
lens. And of course it depends on the amount of light you have. Try shooting a
moving object like a car, it should be able to keep it in focus.

Servo mode needs a subject to be locked on, and bland subjects of low contrast
are not good for that.

So it's hard from here to tell if it's working normal or not, try some more
testing by trying to track a moving car or something that's a decent size with
some contrast. Shooting a flying bird takes some real practise, the servo mode
is not a miracle in a can...
