Hi William! Last spring Lexar had a recall on certain of their CF cards because of incompatibility with Canon 20Ds (the 5D was not yet introduced). I had to have all 3 of mine replaced (they're slow, be warned). Only CF cards from certain batches were affected. I'd give you more information, but it's at home, and I'm on the road. Do a web search on Lexar, CF card, Problems and it should pop up. If yours is one of the affected series, you will need to send it to them. Hope this helps. Cheers!
