Tom, If you enjoy serious macro photography, this lens is for you. It's absolutely superb. It takes out all the complexity of achieving high magnification with high optical quality. I'm enjoying it right now in the garden. Hopefuly I get some good results, but with the MP-E65 I can concentrate on composition instead of technicalities. You do need flash illumination and a steady support to get good results. Do you have specific concerns? What is your main subject?
