Actually, I have a Nova 3 -- I was under the impression that it was Nova
5. :) Nevertheless, I rearranged the interior a bit, and now the
lens-down position is even more secure. Because the camera itself rests
on the internal "walls", which make up nice little compartments for
flash, lenses and other accessories. 

I was mostly concerned with IS -- whether that could be affected by the
lens-down method. I guess it is OK. :)

On another note, I got myself a 30D (upgraded from D30 :). And wow, what
an improvement. Focus and most notably, noise levels. I shot at ISO
1000, and the noise levels are just fantastic. I do a lot of lowlight
shooting (hence I _need_ IS) and this really helps. With 50/1.8, you can
practically shoot in the dark :-)
