Sell for whatever you can get and buy a backup battery if you're lucky. I sold
my 50e with regrets a few years back after getting my 10d. I got decent money
for it. I did love that camera, though I'm glad I sold it when I did. I just
knew I wasn't going to use it. Kept my old 1000S that I'd had repaired, but gave
it to a friend last year. See, now I got rid of all film cameras in the house.
Oh, except the wife's Fuji 312 point and shoot, guess it'll go in the trash one
day.

Only one thing now will make my upgrade my 10d, and that's ECF. When is my ECF
EOS digital camera coming?
