Scott is right, the lack of the rear-mounted Quick Control Dial is one of the things that separated the Rebel series from the more "serious" cameras. The dial was introduced on the EOS 1 and moved downmarket with the first Elan. All the cameras before that did not have the dial, no matter how high-end (no dial on the EOS 620/630/RT or 10S). All the non-Rebel cameras after that had the dial (EOS A2/5, Elan II, 3, etc.).
