I've been thinking about these lenses and just happened to have the
weight info available.....
70-200 f/4 L IS 1.675#( 26.8oz) / 760g
100-400 f/4.5-5.6 L IS 3.1# (49.6oz) / 1380g
Sure, the 70-200 is a full frame lens but it is just a bit more than
half the weight of the 100-400 and it is f/4 throughout the zoom range.
