I save a copy of dcraw.c on every CD/DVD of raw photos.

DCS-1/3/5 may indeed be a problem, but dcraw can handle 
Kodak DCS-520 & -560 and Canon D2000 - and quite a few
other software use dcraw as their raw processing engine
and thus inherit its capabilities.
