Subject: EOS 30D blues
I'm on my second 30D. My original was stolen in Dec., and I recently got
a replacement from my insurance company. I'm noticing over-saturated
blues in Landscape mode, that I don't recall in my first camera.
Occasionally it's extreme, almost as if I had the Tungsten WB set, but I
don't - EXIF confirms this. It also is more apparent when uploaded to my
computer, I didn't really catch it on the LCD screen. Anyone else notice
this?
I just ran a test to confirm it - same scene, shot in all modes, all at
f/8, on two different lenses - EF 50/1.4 and 28-135 IS. The 28-135 is a
more saturated-looking lens overall, but the landscape mode shots show the
same increase.

Hi Ken,
Did you check that your 30D has been "Reset" before doing your tests. (Just
wondering if something from the insurance might have been customised by
someone... Somewhere in the Picture Styles area, I'd expect.)
I bought a 30D a few weeks ago, and it's very similar to my 5D in many ways,
except for the 5fps!
Bit surprised on your comments about the two lenses - could the zoom be
giving a little less exposure? (I have both and haven't noticed any real
differences.)
