It took me a while to find them, the ID I found was just big_is, but I did find them. I have no prior experience with them, but I hope they are decent if only because Canon's $100+ price tag for tripod rings has always been outrageous. I have tried a couple of the third party tulip lens hoods and found them to be fine
You and I are probably not in the same situation, but if it were me, I'd buy one in a minute if I needed one, knowing I could recover most of the cost by reselling it on eBay if I didn't like it. Having seen third party hoods, grips, batteries and now tripod rings, I say GREAT! tomp > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Paul Wasserman > Sent: Sunday, March 25, 2007 10:30 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: EOS Third Party Tripod Ring for 70-200 f4 IS ? > > I need to get a tripod ring for my 70-200 f/4 IS. > > A Company in Hong-Kong called "big_is_camera" offers one on e-bay that is > significantly less than Canon's, but I'm not interested in living with a > lousy product just to save a few bucks. > > Does anybody here have real-world experience with a tripod ring from this > company? > > Paul Wasserman > * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
