Although they said they will ship it from Helsinki. :) Anyway, not to bore you with details. The short version: they work and they are a lot cheaper than Pocket Wizzards. For fooling around, playing, etc, they look good. For professional use, I would buy half dosen, just to be on the safe side. :) This is no ST-E2 of course, but makes certain situations less complicated. I tested them with EOS 30D, Sigma 500 Super and a 220 V strobe triggered via PC-Sync cable. You can read more about it here: http://www.mihavalencic.com/?p=57 Miha Hi Miha et. All, I've been using these things professionally for many years now. When I first came across them it was at the Buena Park camera show well over 2 1/2 maybe almost 3 years ago they were $65 for one set or two sets for $100 CASH. Not being a dummy I bought a pair of them, afterall where else can you get a radio trigger setup for $50 a set? A little later Speedotron picked them up and now they are $100 a set! There are only two things I don't like about them the weird 1/2 AAA 12 Volt battery in the transmitter and the limited range over my Pocket Wizard Plus II transceivers. I usually buy the little 12volt battery form Mouser or some other big electronics parts house and the 100% reliable range is O.K. if you have fresh batteries and are working inside 50-60ft. or so. If you get much past 50-60ft. you can sometimes get misfires unless both transmitter and receiver batteries are fresh and you are in an area with no radio frequency noise. Cheers/Chip Opps, left the paragraph out by accident. The version I'm using looks the same but the receiver side has a 1/4" phone plug for use on studio strobe HV power supplies. I'm using Speedotron gear and use a hard to find and a bit pricy 1/4" phone to "H" adapter for my studio strobe HV power supplies. There are also other types of trigger plugs available out of the receiver unit but this trigger plug was the only version available at the time I purchased them. I've also seen a dumb (not TTL capable), hotshoe version but I have not used one.
