I would! I own a lot of wide-angle lenses and re-buying them as EF-S lenses (if I could) is more expensive than buying the 5D. I also dislike the 1.6X crop as I have used full-frame 35mm cameras for decades, I'm used to predicting the field of view for a particular focal-length and it's a steep learning-curve for the 1.6X field-of-view.
I wish the 5D had a pop-up flash and I've already purchased a 220EX to keep in my camera bag. I'm not willing to believe that there really is a 40D coming with ALL the things you hope for.
