I'm not sure how make that set up work, but while you try to get that going, here's a workaround with some added advantages. Use the EOS tools to do the capture and save the files to a folder on the hard-drive. From the "File" menu in Lightroom set up an "AutoImport" from that folder. Lightroom will then automatically import the captures as they are saved to the hard-drive. This approach has the advantage that you can have Lightroom apply initial develop settings, metadata, and keywords to the files as they're imported, and also rename the files on the fly.
