Sure when I find a Mk2 parts or as-is for like 1200
like I did my 1Ds! Seriously, there's no way I would
pay more than that for a camera no matter how good or
modern it was!
I had no idea the Mk2 had an sd instead of a cf. I'm
not surprised. The SD is a better and more resilient
package than the cf. The design is far more tolerant
of misalignment error in use or in fabrication than
the CF. Most CF failures I've see occur when one pin
doesn't fit and the user pushes too hard, transferring
the entire load to one pin! I remember that my Rebel
had a buckled pin in addition to a few folded ones! 

Yeah, moving over to SD for everything is a great
idea. They are even cheaper than CF!
