The announcement asks whether Q theory is superior.

In the way a solar centred model and the non-centred later one is superior, Yes.
In the way Onelook defines noun: one of greater rank or station or quality. NO.
Q theory is but one in a long series of paradigm changes. and others yet to
come.
Although the Bible has it god created the universe for once and all and that is
a still strong
prejudice Fred Hoyle's continuous creation fits better, with later
modifications added.

By and large Q Theory is still speculative and an incomplete one. It will
probably end up with
mindstuff being, as is Tao's hsioa i, that smallest part which is nothing of
itself. Right now
a number of macroquantal phenomena are being researched as the theory firms up.
Schrodinger and
Feynmann were both against the extension into statistics. In the end it will
all have to invert
into ye olde universal, see Plato's Meno, to make a better fit to
Cosmology.

""Dr. Werner Heisenberg, said, “The opinion that living processes can be
explained only by the
methods of physics and chemistry and that there are no biological forces is not
in congruence
with quantum theory.”

"We must assume behind this force [in the atom] the existence of a conscious
and intelligent
mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter." -- Max Planck, accepting the
Nobel Prize for
Physics, 1918

That is still being strongly rejected in favour of the epiphenomenal. But
ongoing things show
that right across knowledge research and debate is going on that will end up
with a complete
overhaul of knowledge. in 1992 SCIAM had an issue devoted to "Is Science at an
end?". It will
never be as there will always be an unknown to research. Science began as the
oracular method
nowadays better named as problem solving. To date math and language are known
incomplete and
knowledge is also. If we look at our history there's little else but change.
Science is more
like a pump in that once figured out it changes into technology as is pretty
well the case with
chemistry. So, inevitably, something new to enquire into will pop up.

Pribram and Bohm's Holograph which is not Q, nevertheless has its effects on
the emerging
paradigm change. So have other ideas like Halton Arp' electric universe. We're
so fond of nouns
that there is no word for what is going on and that is quantum thinking,
research and
speculation. In so far as, so far or as yet. Q is into possibilities to replace
the previous
'fact'. It observes the hitherto unobservable, which is about it. We now have
so many
instrumental extensions to our senses one is hard put to list them and more to
come. About 6 to
4,000 years ago the adaptation of writing to record keeping, aka bookkeeping,
has been with us
a while and still going strong but no longer dominant. Q Physics will probably
have an effect
like the change from an earth to no centred universe. Right now it looms large
and will merge
in with the other ideas we have about the world.
