Now is the time for the citizenry to consider what applications are
being embraced under the guise of national & "homeland" defense. It's
all well and good to keep the terrorists "at bay," but twist or tweak
the applications ever-so-slightly, and yet another "big brother"
application comes of age. We have an insidiously entrenched two party
system in this country, because reliable & viable consensus is
presently so difficult to achieve AND the American mind - by 'n'
large, thinks, at best, in short 30-second sound bytes... the hot
media and other cultural lines of conditioning have assured the
continuance of this "dumbing-down" process. George Orwell, here we
come!
