The following is a from a posting made to one of my group's outreach
groups which are centered on executive empowerment. Hope it helps to
elucidate.

>>>One small request... a courtesy I afford to others: My group's outreach
>>>efforts are many... we are simply trying to create increased public
>>>awareness. Garner what you may from our offerings (or NOT)... We are not
>>>going to "defend" our model. Believe me, the rigorous one would be doubly
>>>difficult for the layman to follow. Moreover, if you "have issues," or are
>>>of a reductionist mentality, save us from your weak-minded attacks... better
>>>still go out there and develop your own model...
So, with that, we hope that you can internalize & benefit from this
offering. >IFF the group "clamors" for more, We will be happy to
oblige & answer any well-thought-out questions.
So please enjoy the posting:

The three "COIAS" - Centrally Operative, Imperative Awareness States
make up the main architectures in The Tensegrity Group's Model for
"Cyber-systems" intellect: initial commentary to follow...

A modicum of reflection should bring these into the "prima facie
realm" of your consciousness. Think of it as an 'awareness' of
"awareness" - ostensibly that capacity for "meta-cognition" whereby
our minds are able to transcend "the trenches" or quagmire of our
existence & look for patterns. "You'll soon readily see the links that
compose the protean continua of thought which create our moment-to-
moment mind sets & explains why our periodic refusal to entertain
other perspectives - beyond the ones unto which we've initially
"latched" ourselves, can ONLY lead to problems in our reconnoitering
capabilities "down the road. Yet, after the internalization of these
"COIAS," any propensity for "entrenchment" will be significantly
reduced in your psyche, and you'll soon began to witness a kind of
"renaissance" in your thinking - everything from altered world views
to unbridled creative fervor. These "awareness states" are namely 1)
[Recursive Dimensional] BOUNDEDNESS or "RDB" - this level of awareness
stems from our dimensional restrictions &/or life-system tolerances
(variance issues), and so, it's natural for there to be 1:1
correspondences with the "factors of causality" (more on this later);
2) Mediational-Diagnostic Referencing or "MDR" we commonly refer to as
just 'mediation' - this is the direct intervention repertoire
available in a given contextual backdrop; and lastly 3) Transcendental
Aggregate Perspectives or "TAPs," - this being viewed as the most
'etic' or "detached" level of human awareness... this may be somewhat
misleading as at least some capacity for "empathy" is required if a
valid sensibility is to be achieved.
It is this last level of awareness that allows us to "tap" into the
implicate orders of our existence and thereby detect some of the not-
so-evident "undercurrents that can often belie a given contextual
backdrop. It should be carefully noted however that no amount of this
transcendent capacity will aid us in our individual or collective
efforts, if the levels of connectedness that comprise the pervasive
"boundedness" we all share is abysmally "retarded." In other words,
you have to know where you are, before you can plot where you want to
go - moreover, to "mediate" (navigate & negotiate) on how to get
there.
For lack of a more apt analogy, we may liken these levels to a "war-
games" scenario: RDB is the "trenches" - the front lines... here is
found the real-time impediments and conditional sets of
circumstances...everything from communications glitches to the
"uncertainties" to can turn an advantage quickly into a disadvantage,
e.g., the weather, supply & command chains, etc. Without a less
"immersed" or "entrenched" level of awareness tempering the "reality-
based" 'pragmatism' of this vantage point, a kind of "blinders-on"
tunnel vision can happen and the ability to "think outside the box"
can be greatly hampered. Yet without the "full-on" knowledge of the
"straights of boundedness," the transcendent assessment begin to
suffer from what is commonly referred to as the "Ivory Tower
Syndrome." As that is a common enough reference I don't feel a need
expand on this. Suffice to say that you should now sense the
reciprocity & complementarity here. I suspect that many of you are
saying to yourselves "Well, Na - Duh!" GOOD!!! Yes, because this is an
accurate description of the common experience, so it goes, upon the
comprehension of these levels, that the realizations are somewhat
'lackluster.' or "anti-climactic." What seems even more predictable
then, is the need for "middle-management" or a "Mediational-Diagnostic
Referencing" level which intervenes directly both upon the "RDB" and
"TAPs" levels. To do this effectively the MDR level must be able &
"adept" in the creation of FOCUS - to gain "perspective" and thereby,
to eventually help in the development of real-time sensibilities for
ever-the-more incisive & timely PADM (problem analysis & decision
making). This is part of the foundation for the creation of a working
intellect.
It should also be noted that humans are seldom free of mental baggage
that can hinder the operational intellect. By fully considering &
internalizing the various "primitives" or ubiquitous PSYCHICAL SYSTEM
ATTRIBUTES via complementary dialectics which are inherent in meta-
cognition - albeit often somewhat nebulous in their scope &
applicability, an understanding of what coherent focus entails is
inculcated & thus, the intellect becomes ever-the-more disciplined &
able to cut through the extraneous "b.s." We often see this cultural
"COWDUNG" (a term popularized by C.H. Waddington) as inflated or
deteriorated behaviors endemic to the culture at large. The extent of
damage that these counterproductive psychoses & neuroses might produce
can be significantly ameliorated when the human intellect becomes
effectively immunized via this kind of "real-time" empowerment.
Nevertheless, the various forms of entrenchment witnessed in virtually
every culture world-wide are just insidious enough to warrant a
periodic review & assessment of one's own inadvertent adoptions of
these cultural maladies... and to then consider just how these
influence and impact one's world view, perceptions, and functioning
intellect. Awareness IS the key...more aptly, an established awareness
OF our functioning "awareness architectures." With that expressed,
I'll be submitting various "parts" of these architectures beginning
with that of RDB and eventually working my way to the TAP's level.
each of these entries will begin a different discussion. For now, I'd
encourage you to contemplate upon your awareness: Be neither 'kind'
nor 'abusive' regarding your self-assessment.. just work at "honest"
appraisal. For it should be remembered that this is ultimately a
personal journey, and no one but yourself can engage the mental
gymnastics that an ongoing enhancement & empowerment of the working
intellect demands. If you are one to explore this realm for the first
time, understand that mental fatigue is almost a certainty if you're
truly, fully engaged in considering these foundations in all their
depths & breadths. You may ask if it's worth it. I believe it is, but
that is a question only you can answer. So, I leave you with perhaps
three of the most telling quotes about the intellect ever stated...
consider them, and make your own conclusions: The first is one from my
friend & colleague, now deceased, who was also a co-founder of The
Tensegrity Group, Robert Sidey,
"As the mind sees itself as functioning, so then will it function.
This is, after all, the INTELLECT, becoming AWARE of its own
potentialities."
"We should take care not to make the intellect our god; it has, of
course, powerful muscles, but no personality." - 'Uncle' Albert
Einstein
"The mind [intellect?] stretched to a new a idea, never goes back to
its original dimensions." - Oliver Wendell Holmes

I'll eventually make comment on each of these - along with others, but
for now, I'll let them speak for themselves
