I could not agree more. Math is a grammatical code which like language with the same grammatical code offers no guarantee whatsoever that it can match, or indeed does match, how reality operates. In any final analysis it is reality which has to be understood. The current crisis in science is about that. The universe is a sentient organism and there is now sufficient proof of that. And since we are an intrinsic part of its wholeness we have to understand ourselves which amounts to the same thing.
The secret, if any, is buried or divided in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd person of grammar. As long as we are not allowed to speak for ourselves the paradox remains.
