For those Europeans or others out there who did not get the insult/ pun.... It all hinges on the following "lines" from my original posting. "Where are what I call the "Double O, or O repeat O... (O-re-O, for short)... Oprah and Obama" Leadership Coalition on this issue?" Oprah, is Oprah Winfrey... an African-American U.S. television talk show personality... very popular among women, in general, but also white women, in particular. And Obama, is Barack H. Obama... an African-American U.S. Senator and current Primary Aspirant for the Democratic Party Presidential Candidacy. Oprah Winfrey has endorsed and has "stumped" (publically advocated) for the election in separate State primaries of Barack Obama to the Democratic Party Presidential Candidacy position. So,.... what is an O-re-O?... Well, literally, an O-re-O is a cookie.... made by the Nabisco (?) company... which consists of two black cookie wafers sandwiching a white, vanilla flavored frosting in between. Now, figuratively, an "O-re-O" cookie is also a metaphor for a Black or African-American person who may be.... here's the simile... Black on the outside, but White on the inside. This is a "class" charge that is directed against some African Americans.... Basically, it alleges that "O-re-O's" have forsaken their fellow Black or African American brethren, along with their history of racial oppression, in the self-interest of their own (O- re- O) individual social advancement and betterment (which is usually attained by "emulating" the "oppressive" ways and prejudices of the "White" Class. So, when I say that Oprah and Obama form an "O-re-O" Leadership Coalition..... well, I guess you can now see that this is not a very complimentary assertion... in some quarters.... nominal9 **** I think that is sufficiently explanatory. So, I hear that the "Europeans" are pretty much enamoured with an O-RE-O Obama presidency....
