Some of the triangles are painted black. It does not occour when

If you have an idea how to get some more debug information just tell.
On a first glance it looks like Z-fighting due to a 16-Bit depth
buffer. Try forcing 24 bits by setting EQ_WINDOW_IATTR_PLANES_DEPTH
to 24.
Alternatively you can fix the dynamic near/far calculation in
eqPly/channel.cpp, and send me the patch. ;)
I still haven't found the time to do so.
