Hello all, The Equalizer master branch contains now code to automatically configure applications at startup. This configuration is based on GPU-SD, a new daemon and library for the discovery and announcement of graphics processing units using ZeroConf (http://equalizergraphics.com/gpu-sd/).
End-user documentation can be found on the website (http://equalizergraphics.com/documentation/user/configuration.html) and, more detailed, in the User Guide. Right now this code is fairly limited, in that it only creates scalability configurations. We're planning on extending GPU-SD with information for canvases and segments so that multi-display systems can be easily configured. I'm looking for your feedback on this feature: * Does it work for you, in your applications and environment? * What type of configurations do you use and are missing from the auto-config? ** Multi-display is a known item. * What would you need to use GPU-SD for other projects?
