Lots of times I think the FAA has overkill in
the rules and reg. But than you think about it and ask yourself if they didn't,
how many Ercoupes would still be flying and flying as a good solid
airplanes. I'm gettin mine annualed right now and because of circomstnaces
we only flew it 4 hrs. last year. and we still have to go through all the
process required of a annual. But you now what ? We have found things that
need fixing and adjusted. and we will know it will be a better safer airplane
because of it.
I'm going to get my biannual after the annual ( and
fly as sport pilot) and my son and myself hope to be able to make it to Minden .
its about 250 mi. for us as we are at Sidney NE. ( Home of Cabela's) Cabela's
second store created is at Kearney NE., a few mi.'s north of Minden. My son
works for Cabela's,(Worlds Formost Outfitter) he sells adventure trips for
them(ck.it out on the internet). I worked for them from 1990 to 1997.
