Thanks to everyone who tried to help me discover what
the secret is to finding and viewing this video.
I figured out what the problem is myself. I should
have thought of it right away as I have run into this
situation before. You need to use [EMAIL PROTECTED]&!!!
Internet Explorer to get everything to work correctly.
On my computer at home, I couldn't find the story link
at all using Netscape. Found it using IE and was able
to play it at home. At work, with our much faster
connection and newer Windows OS, I was able to find
the story link with Netscape but it wouldn't play. So
forced to use IE again.
I am pretty sure that those of you that had no
problems viewing the video were using IE, and those of
you that were using another browser, had the same
trouble I did.
I'm not going to go on a tirade about Gates and
Microsoft and yes, I know that our wonderful list
administrator works for Bill. But I am resentful of
CBS and any other web sites that force you to have to
use IE in order to get the site to work optimally. I
resent not having a choice. There are reasons not to
use IE, which I also will not go into here.
It was a great story and I did enjoy it immensely once
I finally got to it. I do wish however, that CBS also
would put the transcript and some still photos on
their site for folks who have older computers and slow
connections.
