I'll throw this one out there for some input from those who have 'been there'.  This is probably just a very simple issue of replacing two bushings in the control column.  Anyway, here goes.......

I have some slop or play in the control yokes which upon inspection appears to be from movement (looseness or play) of the top shaft that goes down the middle of the control column.  The visible components look fine (chain, etc.), and it moves slightly side to side within the column when the control wheels are moved, so I'm assuming it's the top bushing inside the column that is worn (415-52119, page 30 & 33, figure 21, No 37).

Any suggestions or comments about that condition?  The control column was supposed to have been gone through and rebuilt about 10 or 12 years and 1200 hours ago.  Are there other parts that are likely to be worn & in need of replacement other than those two bushings?

Are there any 'tricks' to watch for when replacing the bushings in the control column, removing or re-installing the column, or checking the rigging & controls post repair?

Feel free to reply off line or on line as appropriate.
Thanks in advance.
