Leslie,

I've flown into your aircraft carrier airport at Chester, Connecticut,
and I understand what you say. I've never had as much pucker factor as
flying over your section of Connecticut. Forests EVERYWHERE and narrow
cuts through the trees for the roads. There were mighty few cleared
fields.

I'll grant that even smart pilots in your area don't have much choice
about flying over forests. Conversely, when I was flying over the
western forests, I had much more choice in where to fly to be within
gliding distance of a usable landing spot.

Hey, I'm home, but the plane is still in Ohio. When we called the
briefer,
all he said was "The tops are at 55 grand, and will be that way for
about a
week. Any questions?"

Have to take a little issue with the not flying over places where you
can't
land, being a New England pilot. Not many open fields here, and not
much
choice about it.
