You guys!!
Please change the header on this string! Unworthy and Coupe, doesn't
belong in the same sentence.

It isn't a bad little aircraft. I think if you are not going to get a Coupe this would be a good option. Also, you could install either the 0-200; Rotax 912; the Corvair; or even the Subaru. All good engines and certainly something you wouldn't be able to do with the coupe.Good LuckLee----- Original Message -----From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]Sent: Tuesday, December 20, 2005 9:10 AMSubject: Re: [COUPERS-FLYIN] Unworthy coupesHi LeeYou sound like you have done some research on the replacement for theCoupe so would be interested if you have looked at the Sonex. And if sowhat you think of it. I too am in the process of looking for a replacementfor my Coupes. For what research I have done it looks like the sonexwould be a good replacement and in the $30K to $45K and 400-700 buildtime with the kit. If I build it I would be able to do the Annuals which wouldallow more of the funds to go into the upkeep of the airplane. My last annualon my alon was $1000 parts was a nav light bulb. I removed and replacedall of the parts that had to be removed for the inspection. It is tough to findan IA Knowledgeable on ercoupes where I live.I am looking for something that will fit in the Sport Pilot Class. I presentlyhave my 3rd class so now would be the time to make the switch.I would be interested in your thoughts.CurtisIn a message dated 12/20/2005 8:23:30 AM Central Standard Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:Bob, I was up in Mexico, MO a couple weeks ago and flew and priced the 601
XL, Had the 100 HP engine , flew very well. Cruised about 135 MPH, was very
comfortable. Very simular to the Coupe.
Cost for the flyout completed aircraft out of GA (where they are building
them is about 60-62K) I was looking at the kit, about 500-700 build time
with the Rotax 912S about 45K. (All Metal)
If I can't find a reasonable Coupe, then I am going to get me something new.
Cost will only be a few dollars more. And for those talking about the
special Coupe project, not much more time if any.
