Hi all, After surviving 30 hours of instruction (25 in my Ercoupe, Gilda) I finally soloed today. I did six good take-offs and landings at two local airports with one simulated power-out emergency landing to a stop, when my instructor asked if I was ready to try it myself!! Some signatures and a handshake later and I was on my own. I did three landings to a stop and went in to the FBO to the congratulations of all there and a new "I soloed" coffee mug.   Gilda sure climbs better with just me onboard!  I'll be the first Sport Pilot trained out of KEKA.
