Tandy,
Aside from a few MOAs that can be easily negotiated by altitude selection, it looks like a pretty simple route. Be sure to check the weather carefully (use flight watch) and you should not have any problems. I've flown thru most of those areas, but not in a Coupe, and the route doesn't seem to present any special problems given good weather. Watch the weather across Pennsylvania. The terrain is rough and with deteriorating or bad weather it's hard flying. Back in the days before IFR, a lot of planes were lost between New York and Pittsburgh. If you are planning on flying after dark, I would do that only between Ohio and Kansas. In the Bridgeport area you've always got the potential for fog and low visibility; while the hills of Pennsylvania can whip up some dandy thunderstorms.

It sounds like a great flight, hope you get a chance to make it.

Guys - I have been considering a trip in my Coupe to the East Coast, Bridgeport, Conn to be specific, from Kansas City. As this is all uncharted territory for me, are there any special issues I should consider before take off (probably some time this spring)?
