Another point to know is that the Ercoupe wings are easily removed.  The width 
of the gear & tires is 8.5ft and should easily fit into a container without any 
other major disassembly.  Could make getting one to Europe easier than any 
other airplanes.

  many thanks for your very informative answers. I did not expect to get that 
many feedbacks so quickly. Indeed I don't care about the 1400 lbs weight, as we 
don't have a LSA class of Aircraft in Germany.

    I will echo the comments about how important it is to have a thorough 
prebuy 
    done by a mechanic qualified and experienced in Ercoupes. There are more 
    dogs out there than dogcatchers and more individuals trying to unload junk 
    to unsuspecting and trusting buyers. If you don't care about the 1400 lb 
    gross weight, look for a D, E, G, F1 or F2 model. You will probably get 
    more for your money.
