Hi Dan,
I hope you can make it. Leaving Oshkosh mid-week is not a problem
at all. Lots of people do it. I would suggest leaving either morning,
mid day or evening, after the air show. All you do is get a Flight Line
person to escort your plane out through the parking area to the taxiway,
then you taxi to the active, following the flag people. The flag people
clear each plane for take off, and you depart. Simple as that.
Camping is also available at Wausau, with showers in the FBO
available to campers.

I have never flown into Osh during the show, but I
think I might join you this year. I would have to
leave on Tuesday or Wednesday, what is it like leaving
mid-week. Are mornings preferred for departure? Or
evenings?
If I make it, I will be camping next to the coupe!
Sid, any facilities available for campers at Wausau?
