I had a pastor friend out in Nebraska, years ago, flew a J3 cub. When giving
rides and someone would ask,"What would you do if your engine quit?, he would
just reach down and turn off the mags. Was he surprised, doing the same thing
after an engine overhaul. The compression stopped the engine with the prop
sticking up and down. He had to land in a hay field and get out and prop it.
