I have used both the microair and XCOM in my Zenith Zodiac 601XL and my 415D Ercoupe. The XCOM is a better transceiver and also has the internal intercom. I have had several comments from people using other radios on the quality of transmission and receiving qualities of the radio. It is very small in size which allows for more flexibility in installation. I've installed mine on the passenger side glove box cover and it fits nicely. Mike Sigman N3041H Ser# 3666
