Paul, a close flying buddy of mine spent a month in your Arizona in December
while we were freezing at -40F [night time temps] here and the temperature
difference between your Arizona and here in Alberta was only a mere 106F
spread ,,, and only for a week or so.   But seldom see much snow locally
here, only Arctic cold,,, just don't go in the Mountains to the West of here
during winter, there they get massive snow.
Dry cold climate here locally, east of Rockies, not like Eastern Canada with
their monster snow storms.

Man that is warm. 
 
It's not even going to break 70 today. I had to roll my sleeves down when I
went into the hangar this morning. When the temp on the ground isn't even 70
 you can guess how bitterly cold it is at altitude.
 
I think a cold front somewhere in California is affecting our weather making
it so cold.
