I have had an ercoupe project for sale for several weeks now, advertised on
Barnstormers. I am appalled at the limited education of those who called about
the project. It has become apparant to me that they cannot read. The Coupe is
advertised as a project and one of the first questions most have asked me is
"Does it fly". The Coupe is clearly advertised as a "project" and in the
wording I list the major work needed done, which is riveting the wingwalk tot
he main spar and then into one of the fuselages I have. Yet they ask if it
flys. Had one fellow to keep me hanging for weeks promising to come look at
it then calling and saying he wasn't interested. Some who came and looked at
the coupe, Said" Wow, that is going to require some work." , to which I replied
"Yes, most projects do". I had bolted the pieces together so I could run the
engine periodically, but today I have disassembled the pieces and am taking it
to someone to put it together. I would still sell it if someone who can read
comes and offers to buy it, but no more grammar school dropouts please. I hope
that some who called or came belong to this group, so perhaps they will obtain
some remedial reading instructions.
