Ed.
I am having an old Pioneer in my Coupe and it is
not an exact instrument.
I think that when you just hook the T&B
directly to the small ventury, without an pressure regulator in-between, You
will get different readings depending on your airspeed.
If I fly a turn by the markings, I won't make an
180 in 60 seconds. So I tried different turn angles until I was close to
it.
Your rate of turn differs of course not only by the
angle of bank, but also by the speed you are flying.
Use this URL to visualize the relationship between
speed and angle:
The ball is not always exactly centered in turns.
If it is not off to one side, but just a little off the two lines, that's fine I
think.
While it is always a good think to check the
adjustments on your plane , rigging included, I would not think that you are
experiencing a problem with your instrument, nor your plane.

Also the ball is not quite centered. Do I have a faulty T&B or my bird needs rigging? Measured the alignment with the pinhole on the center of the elevator and and the measurement 49 -3/4 inch from the little hole. Anyway I have made a little chart not unlike the one for the compass to compensate for the error. I think my instrument is not to good. d:^). Does anyone have a good T& B or Turn Coordinator for sale? Thanks for your help.EdN3396H============================================================================== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm Search the archives on http://escribe.com/aviation/coupers-tech/
