My 415-C has a C-90 engine installed under a 337 in
1959. It referred to another 337 as its authority.
The description of work accomplished reads: "Install
C90-12 engine with metal MaCauley prop. Comply with note #9, parts a, b,
c, d, e, f, g, h, i,, and j to be elgible as model 415-D. This alteration
was accomplished identical to that on Ercoupe 415C, N2860H completed by Vernon
K. Wadley and approved by C. G. McKissick on Jan. 4 1954 and James Gannon on
June 18, 1954."
(I included all mistakes as it is written in the
337.)
I would welcome any info that a 'Couper finds out about
N2860H's installation.

I did not have any luck in getting copies of the STC's, however, I did learn that any 337 dated 1955 or older can be used as valid data, which means if you can get a copy of a 337 showing the installation of a C-90, you do not need FAA approval to do so. You just include a copy of the 337 dated in 1955 or earlier with your 337. Any mechanic with AI privilege's can sign off the installation.Any Couper's out there with C-90's installed prior to 1956 that have a 337? I would certainly like to get a copy.Lynn Nelsen
