Tape is a good idea as insurance, but the brake clip fasteners ( 955383 ) cost 0.95 cents each. Why not buy a new set for under $8.00 at each annual, then tape them. They are steel and rust quickly so replacing them annually seems like a good idea. New ones snap into the rim and brake clip with authority. I bought four years worth from Skyport a month ago and Lee said he had a bunch as they are still being made, that's why they are cheap. Does anyone have a source for the rubber boots on the control column universal joints. The universals are tight and in good shape but the boots are cracked.
