Louis,

The EAA did research for its own STC and that's the one I chose.

As I recall, a company in Nebraska was the other one who owns an STC for
auto-fuel. Sorry I can't remember the differences after so long but I'd
suggest contacting the EAA.

You'll hear some claims that autogas causes increased carb ice but I've
never figured out how or why. It has worked fine for a LOT of Coupe
hours.
I used it whenever I could.

Subject: [COUPERS-TECH] Who's got the STC for auto gas

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any
advice in this forum.]----

I'm contemplating on running auto gas in my '46 Ercoupe which has had the
85hp mod done to it.
Does the STC for auto gas pertain to the aircraft or to the engine?
Who "owns" the STC or in other words where/who do I buy it from?

I did a web search not long ago and found (if I understood right) at least
two (one was the EAA) sources providing STC for auto gas.
Can an STC be held for sale by more than one party or am I looking at
things cross-eyed?

Thanks a lot,

Louis
