Sorry, but you are absolutely wrong there, Dick.  If a part is not approved it is automatically disapproved.  The FAA does not have a list of unapproved parts, just approved parts.

The Falconar shoulder belt attachment system is not approved in the U.S.

I tried sending an attachment with the plans and engineering report on the harness system from  Falconar Aviation in Canada but I got a mail failure saying it was to large. It is 489 KB if any one is interested Contact me and I will get back to you off line.
