I’ve thought about borrowing a suitable voltage regulator for checking my system and seeing if that’s the problem.  Trouble is it appears that the bugger that I have (I’m pretty sure- I need to double check the numbers) is definitely no longer in production and isn’t available.  I’ve been looking for a Delco 118259 which goes to a Delco 1101876 12V 12A generator.

The closest thing I could find that would be compatable was from Spruce and that is a Zeftronics G1120N.  It can also be bought from Chief and Sacramento Skyranch.  It apparently requires a 337 though since it isn’t a direct replacement.

What would be nice would be a current Delco p/n that I could buy from the auto parts store and then return later after I checked to see if its my VR that’s the problem.  If it is the problem then I could get the $135 one from Spruce, etc.  Anybody know of an auto parts store 12V 12A 3 wire VR that works with our generators?

Thanks.

Stan
