----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- I understand that the accepted method of killing an aircraft engine is to
go full lean/cut off and starve it to death. But...on my Coupe, you
couldn't lean it enough for it to die. My mixture wasn't wired full rich,
and it did work to lean the engine at high altitude, but it would not shut the
fuel completely off. I did however try putting it in gear and popping the
clutch, but I couldn't get the knack so I stopped trying.

ps-For those who care, my method was to motor to the tie down, run
her up to about 1200 rpm, and cut the mags.
