There is more than one experimental clase and the one you would normally get on a certified plane would be experimental show and that carry's a bunch of restrictions. A couple of witch are you can only fly in a local area and to shows. That is the legal terms. You can't fly just for kicks such as a $100 hamburger flight on Saturday morning. You have to contact the FED'S to get permission to fly to other places. The only normal way to get a experimental homebuilt is to do so many changes that it is almost not recognizable as the original A/C.

What are the Pros and cons of putting your plane in experimental status verses certified status. And can you bring to certified status if you would like to.                                 Tony  94157
