Hi Syd,

I have not had any problems with either Auto or 100ll...except when my plane was out of commission for a while....then with pure auto fuel I grew algae in the tanks....what a mess. to clean out.....I think  the lead in Leaded (100LL) fuels kills the algae - so a mix may be just perfect....but it can be a problem to haul a can or two from the local gas station....

If one is concerned about the excessive lead in 100LL, then it is fine to mix approved unleaded automotive fuel  ---but its a bother.

The C- 65/75/85 engines were certified on 73 octane no lead gasoline....Now the specs call for 80 Octane/100LL because there is no 73 oct avaILABle.

Fly Safe - Have Fun
