If you use a 'split collar' bearing spacer you do not have to take the MLG apart. Just jack the airplane and place the two halves of the collar above the rubber donuts and tighten the two Allen screws! Split collar spacers are available at bearing stores, same as the solid bearing spacers. Craig 9772M
