muffler for the Ercoupe. It's sourced from
Univair, but they sell it cheaper.
Also, Univair discounts at about 10-15%
to repair shops. Usually if you make the
call and give the delivery address to your
A&P's shop, even if you use your own
credit card, they'll assume that you're
them and give you that price. This is
pretty common for people to do with
A&Ps who'd as soon not spend the time
'chasing parts.'
Finally, some people will point you to rebuild
shops...most of them seem to have stopped
doing Ercoupe mufflers. The older ones in
particular seem to have a high rate of warranty
repairs due to how they're built.

We have a 1946 model. Annual inspection discovered bad muffler. Does anyone have a muffler or know where to get one? Previously we bought an 8 inch long aileron push rod from Univair and paid over $100 without the ends! We would prefer not to deal with them again if possible.
