Question is; fuel is drawn from the left wing tank only until it is dry which results in the right wing being heavy for the rest of the flight.. The vents in the fuel caps are all open and clear: and the cap gaskets look good  .. What do I check next?? Anybody else been there and done that???

Thanks, Bill Medsker

Yo, Bill

Congratulations, and welcome to the group!

You may have a blockage between the right tank cross-feed line (to the other wing tank) and the T-fitting from which your fuel pump sucks gas.  My suggestion would be to empty the wing tanks, disconnect the line to the fuel pump from the T-fitting, remove the crossfeed line from both tanks (with the tee fitting) and blow air under pressure from the left tank side through the line into a rag to catch anything that comes out.  Then remove the finger strainer from both wing tanks and clean them.  Siphon out any water from wing tank low points that does not drain otherwise as the aircraft sits.  (Good periodic practice)

If your coupe has the fuel system with return lines to both tanks, you may need to disconnect the return line to your right tank (where it connects) and blow it out (into the fuselage tank).  It would then be prudent to then disconnect the fuel line at the gascolator and drain the fuselage tank.  Strain foreign matter from this fuel.  Clean the finger strainer (either in the tank or the in-line shut-off valve) and siphon out any water from the back of the fuselage tank  that does not drain otherwise as the aircraft sits.  (Good periodic practice)

There's more to check depending on the type of wing tank gauge(s) your coupe is fitted with, and the variables too great to address without more information thereon.
