----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----Hi All;
Last year I had a fuel problem with 94654, 1947 415-D. The fuselage tank would over flow when I taxied and then when in the air for about 40 minutes, the fuselage tank would start to drain down. I hooked up a clear plastic hose for a fuel line and ran it up on the windscreen so I could see the fuel flow. The hose was hooked up after the fuel pump. What I discovered was a lot of air being sucked into the fuel line somewhere. I will make long tale short: This year during annual, we looked closely at where the overflow line ran down from the header/fueselage tank and discovered it entered the cross over line from the left tank to the right tank at a tee. We moved the return line from the tee and connected it to the top of the left wing tank. Presto!! No more fuel problems. It seems that the suction of the pump would over ride the fuel from the left tank and start sucking air from the header tank. Hope I made that clear.
Anyway, thank you all for your help last year and if anyone is up near PN30 in Pennsylvania, stop by.
Oh yeah, I switched from Goodyear brakes to Clevelands and I have the Goodyears with pucks and some clips and wheels for sale if anyone should be interested. The new brakes are super.
