Fellow Coupers:
The metal shields that reside between the seat frame and the sliding window
on my coupe are kind of ratty, especially on the bottom edges. While I have her
open, I'd like to improve these if I can. They have been scraping along the
windows for quite a while. A previous owner had put duct tape on them,
apparently as "lubricant". with time, that just led to smearing the adhesive in
the tape up and down the windows.
Ideally, I would really like to put nice news shields in there. My
question: If I fabricate new ones, do I have to do a Form 337? Does anyone out
there have any good tips about this particular problem?
