Pushrod tubes have two ends to them.
I thought at first that it was the rubber seals and changed them twice, then found out that it was the other end of the tube thatwas leaking. It happens that these tubes are inserted into the aluminum cylinder head and if they get banged about at all, they leak. To fix this there is a tool that is like a reamer that you insert into the end of the tube and rotate inside it and it puts a bead all the way around that makes a tighter seal with the aluminum. I put two beads around mine and it stopped the leak. I fixed another engine of another couper, who happened to tell me about this tool.
It costs about 120 bucks but you can rent it too.
Well worth the trouble and easier than taking the cylinders halfway off to change the rubber seals.
Alan.
