I went out and measured the trim wire on my Alon and ended up poking a hole in my finger, but I measured .060". could this be the reason I can never seem to get the trim exactly right?

If the outer casing is rusty, better to replace it.... using a smaller wire leaves some slack in the system.....making it hard to adjust the trim to a desired angle...

A properly sized inner/outer bowden (sp?)  cable system has virtually no slack.
